Flea and Tick Protection
Simply Green treats lawns, shaded edges, brush, pet areas, and shared outdoor spaces where fleas and ticks are likely to remain, with three commercial treatments scheduled from April through September.
Your Seasonal Treatment Plan
We first check the property, identify likely flea and tick habitats, and plan treatment based on the grounds and how the outdoor areas are used.
We look at shared lawns, dog parks, walking routes, playgrounds, shaded gathering areas, and other frequently used outdoor spaces. Let us know where flea or tick activity has already been reported.
Shaded and protected areas get a closer look. Shrubs, groundcover, fence lines, brush, leaf litter, and landscape edges can all provide places for fleas and ticks to remain.
We consider vegetation, animal traffic, reported activity, and property use when deciding where treatment is needed. Coverage is not limited to open turf.
The first treatment is scheduled in April and provides coverage through May. We treat the appropriate lawn and landscape areas based on the property inspection.
We return in June for coverage through July, then again in August for coverage through September. These three scheduled visits carry the program through the main flea and tick season.
The property contact receives any drying, reentry, mowing, or aftercare instructions needed after treatment. Let us know about new flea or tick reports between visits so we can review where the activity occurred.
Follow the reentry and lawn care instructions provided after each visit. Share them with maintenance teams, landscapers, residents, employees, or others who use or work around treated areas.
Keep people and pets away from treated areas until the application has dried and the provided reentry instructions have been followed.
Let onsite staff, landscapers, and mowing crews know that treatment has been completed. Follow any instructions about mowing or other landscape work after the application.
When someone reports a flea or tick, note where and when it happened. For pet-related reports, knowing whether the animal recently visited a park, trail, kennel, or another property can also be useful.
Do not apply another outdoor flea or tick product without speaking with Simply Green first. Additional products may interfere with the treatment already in place.
A More Complete Seasonal Plan
Commercial flea and tick control works best when treatment is planned around pest habitat, animal activity, and the way shared outdoor spaces are used throughout the warmer months.
Open turf is only part of the property. Shaded grass, shrubs, groundcover, brush, leaf litter, fence lines, landscape edges, and pet areas can all provide protected places where fleas and ticks remain.
Dog parks, walking routes, shared lawns, courtyards, shaded gathering areas, and other frequently used spaces deserve closer review when animal traffic or pest reports are concentrated there.
Simply Green schedules three commercial treatments during the April-through-September program. Property contacts should also report new flea or tick activity between visits so the location and surrounding habitat can be reviewed.
Plan Around Property Use
The location of a flea or tick report matters. Note whether the concern is tied to a dog park, walking route, shaded lawn, landscape edge, courtyard, wooded boundary, or another specific outdoor area.
Pet areas and routes used by dogs can require closer attention, while wooded edges and surrounding vegetation may also bring wildlife activity near managed grounds.
Dense shrubs, groundcover, brush, leaf litter, fence lines, and shaded edges can create protected habitat. Regular maintenance and treatment planning should account for those areas rather than focusing only on open lawn.
Commercial outdoor treatment does not replace flea and tick prevention for pets and does not clear an established indoor flea problem. Pet owners should continue following veterinary guidance, while indoor infestations may require a qualified indoor pest control provider.
Operating hours, events, gated access, pet activities, mowing, irrigation, and other busy periods should be shared before service so access and aftercare instructions can be coordinated with the property contact.
Best-Fit Commercial Properties
The program is most useful for commercial properties with recurring flea or tick concerns in shared outdoor areas, especially where pets, wildlife, shaded vegetation, or wooded boundaries are part of the property environment.
Plan the Seasonal Schedule
Simply Green’s commercial flea and tick program uses three scheduled treatments from April through September. The schedule gives the property recurring treatment points during Atlanta’s warmer months while allowing new reports to be reviewed between visits.
Program Point | Timing / Frequency | Commercial Planning Note |
Property assessment | Before the seasonal program or when conditions change | Review shared lawns, pet areas, walking routes, shaded vegetation, reported activity, and property access. |
| First scheduled treatment | April | Treat suitable lawn and landscape areas based on the property inspection. |
Second scheduled treatment | June | Return for the next seasonal application and review any new flea or tick reports. |
Third scheduled treatment | August | Complete the third scheduled application in the April-through-September program. |
Between-visit reporting | Whenever new activity is reported | Record where and when the concern occurred so the surrounding outdoor habitat can be reviewed. |
Aftercare coordination | After each visit | Share drying, reentry, mowing, and other visit-specific instructions with maintenance teams and property users as needed. |
Reduce Protected Pest Habitat
Routine grounds maintenance supports the treatment program by reducing the shaded, protected areas where fleas and ticks are more likely to remain.
Clear fallen leaves from lawns, shrub beds, fence lines, pet areas, walking routes, and other managed outdoor spaces where debris can create protected habitat.
Follow the regular mowing schedule and manage heavy brush or groundcover around buildings, entrances, pet routes, shared lawns, and gathering areas.
Pay attention to locations where pets or other animals regularly gather. New flea or tick reports from those areas should be documented and shared with Simply Green.
New plantings, construction, drainage work, fence changes, or other property work can change where shaded habitat or animal traffic occurs. Let Simply Green know when those changes affect treated areas.
The property contact should pass along any mowing, reentry, or aftercare instructions from the service visit to the teams responsible for the grounds.
Commercial Program Value
Treatment is planned around shaded vegetation, pet areas, animal routes, landscape edges, and reported activity rather than assuming every part of the property presents the same risk.
Three scheduled visits from April through September give the property a clear service plan during the warmer part of the year.
Dog parks, walking routes, shared lawns, courtyards, patios, and other frequently used spaces can be included when the surrounding habitat supports flea or tick activity.
Drying, reentry, mowing, and other instructions can be shared with maintenance staff, landscapers, residents, employees, guests, or other people who need access to treated areas.
Plan the Commercial Scope
Commercial properties differ in size, landscape density, pet activity, wooded edges, access, and the number of outdoor areas that need treatment. Simply Green provides a commercial estimate after reviewing the property and the seasonal service scope.
Estimate Factor | What Is Reviewed |
Property size and treatment zones | The amount of lawn and landscape area included in the program and how treatment areas are distributed across the property. |
Pet and animal-use areas | Dog parks, pet relief areas, walking routes, animal gathering areas, and other locations where flea activity may be more likely. |
Landscape density and edges | Shaded shrubs, groundcover, brush, leaf litter, fence lines, wooded boundaries, and other protected habitat. |
Shared outdoor spaces | Courtyards, patios, shared lawns, gathering areas, and other locations where pest reports or regular use may require closer attention. |
Access and scheduling | Gated areas, operating hours, events, mowing schedules, pet activities, and other property requirements that affect service planning. |
Commercial Pest Experience
Simply Green has served Metro Atlanta properties since 2004. Our commercial flea and tick program includes three scheduled treatments from April through September.
We assess the property before treatment, including vegetation, animal traffic, shared spaces, and any reported flea or tick activity. Treatment is directed toward the areas where these pests are more likely to remain, rather than applying the same approach across the entire grounds.
The property contact receives clear information about drying, reentry, mowing, and aftercare. New concerns can also be reported between visits so we know where activity has been noticed.
Complete Commercial Care
Simply Green also provides commercial services for other lawn, landscape, and outdoor pest concerns across the property.
Treats existing colonies and provides broader protection across suitable commercial turf.
Treats mosquito breeding and resting areas around vegetation and frequently used outdoor spaces.
Manages seasonal weeds and provides nutrition for commercial turf.
Provides seasonal care for trees, shrubs, and ornamental plants.
Treats hard, compacted turf soil where water, air, and nutrients struggle to move.
